Bio: Jason HallJason Hall, Managing Director/Co-Owner of RED 7 SALON, has been active within the corporate, small business, and not-for-profit worlds during his diverse career. Since the opening of RED 7 SALON, Inc. in 2002, the company has been recognized as Best Salon in Chicago 2004 by Chicago Magazine, as well as named TOP 200 salon in the country by Salon Today Magazine for years 2009, 2008, 2007, 2006, and 2005. RED 7 SALON, Inc. has also expanded the company to include a second salon location, which opened in Evanston in 2006. RED 7 SALON, Inc. has been and will continue to be a leader in education, establishing their Assistant Training Program in 2004, as well as two student scholarships given out each year. Prior to opening RED 7 SALON, Hall was Consultant/Content Strategist for Participate.com - a start-up company focused on providing strategic community/knowledge management solutions to Fortune 1000 clients. During Hall's tenure at Participate.com, he held numerous team leadership positions, including: Manager of Community Deployment, Community Manager, KM Methodology Lead, and Founder of Positive Power, a peer recognition system that he solely created and implemented in order to maintain and boost employee morale. Hall has exclusively project managed and worked closely with numerous Participate.com clients and their Web sites, including Lycos Quote.com, ChangeWave.com, Mercedes-Benz, The Hartford Financial Services, Multex.com, Ace Hardware, IBM, Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company, Telleo.com, and Sprint PCS. Within the past year, Hall was a featured contributor on Office.com in The Nearsighted Future of Online Interaction by Terri Thornton. Prior to his employment at Participate.com, Hall held the position of Net Project Manager at J. Walter Thompson Digital, a subsidiary of the advertising giant J. Walter Thompson. While at J. Walter Thompson Digital, Hall worked with such well-known clients as Tellabs Corporation, Microsoft, and First Union Corporation. While at J. Walter Thompson Digital, Hall solely developed and implemented a unique and thorough mentor/training program for all new employees to participate in. Before becoming involved within the Internet industry, Hall held retail management roles at VisualEyes Retail and Barnes & Noble Bookstores - managing staff, as well as inventory, budgets, vendor ordering/relations, and customer relations. Upon receiving his undergraduate degree, Hall was quite active within the Equity theatre scene. Hall worked as Assistant to the Artistic Director, Charles Newell, and assistant directed four Equity productions at Court Theatre in Hyde Park, a prize-winning and well-respected theatre. Hall also held an Associate Artistic Director position at Madison Repertory Theatre, a nationally recognized regional theatre, where he worked with Artistic Director, D. Scott Glasser, and assistant directed five Equity productions. Hall received a double Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and Communications from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point, with an emphasis in stage directing and film history.
